Be part of the Word&Way family

Word&Way is a ministry of communication. In order to be an independent print and Internet publication that can best represent all Baptists in Missouri, we depend solely on subscriptions, advertising and donations.

Many supporters want to know how they can support our missions and ministry. These include:

Financial      Networking      Subscriptions      Advertising     Input      Prayer

Financial

  • Assist us with financial support that will enable us to meet day-to-day obligations, either by a donation or by a monthly pledge.

  • Consider the possibility of a significant gift. This will help undergird Word&Way for future readers and fellow Baptists.

Networking

  • Put us in touch with others you know who might be willing to support Word&Way. We would be delighted to share information with your friends about Word&Way's mission and our current five-year strategic vision for the future.

  • Encourage others to subscribe to the newspaper as individuals and through their church.
  • Become an advocate-at-large for Word&Way. This might include working with a trustee or staff member to bring a Word&Way update at an associational gathering or making a presentation at a local church. Your support legitimizes the value of Word&Way to the people within your sphere of influence and increases our visibility. Call Bill Webb, Editor, (ext. 206, or contact him by e-mail) for more information about advocacy.
  • Suggest Baptist journalists around our state who might join our correspondent corps. If you or someone you know might fit that description, please contact Jennifer Harris (ext. 205 or contact her by e-mail).
  • If you have enjoyed something in the newspaper or on the Web site, share it with someone else. Word-of-mouth is a useful tool.

Subscriptions

  • Ask your church to consider money-saving group plans. These can save your church money over individual subscriptions. Church members can be encouraged to sign up, and the church can invest in subscriptions for the staff, deacons, teachers or other leaders. Or, allow us to send you a trial church subscription.

  • Download our church newsletter worksheet to compare your savings along with our newsletter FAQs. Running a church's news on the back page can save most churches a significant amount of money over printing preparation and postage; the worksheet can help your staff or church budget team compare costs.

Advertising

  • Help us secure advertisers for services appropriate to our readers. We believe Word&Way advertising is a great investment for the advertiser and a help to our subscribers. Put them in touch with Ken Satterfield (ext. 208 or contact him by e-mail) for information. Word&Way offers useful platforms for advertisers through our content or special sections along with the benefits of regular advertising. These include display, classifieds, Web site and e-newsletter sponsorships.
  • Make sure that your church utilizes our classifieds advertising as well as display ads for special events and occasions.
  • Thank advertisers for being a part of Word&Way and support them. They like to know that they are seen.

Input

  • Give us feedback. What are your suggestions for improving Word&Way?  Both the newspaper and the Web site desire to build on our reputation as a balanced, award-winning news enterprise.
  • Share your church news. We want to know about your ministries, staff changes, ordinations and significant events.
  • Include us in your newsletter list to allow us to stay informed about you.
  • Write a letter to the editor or comment on an article on this site. Your thoughts can encourage others to participate.
  • Sign up for our e-newsletter and pass it along to others

Prayer

  • Above all, pray that our staff and trustees will remain faithful to our mission: "To accurately inform Baptists and others of relevant news, promote the work of Christ and encourage inspirational living."
